Sayyid Dynasty (1414-1451)

The Sayyid dynasty was the fourth ruling family of the Delhi Sultanate. After the Tughlaq dynasty, the Sayyid dynasty ruled Delhi. This dynasty was founded by Khizr Khan. They governed northern India for 37 years from 1414 to 1451. Khizr Khan (1414–1421), Mubarak Shah (1421–1434), Muhammad Shah (1434–1445) and Ala-ud-Din Alam Shah (1445–1451) were the rulers. Their control was mostly limited to areas of Punjab, Delhi, and the surrounding the Doab region.
