1. Baneshwar Mela

Baneshwar Mela is a famous tribal fair held in Rajasthan in January.

2. Elephant Mela

The Elephant Mela is a festival held in Rajasthan every year on the occasion of Holi. Only captive elephants are present at the Elephant Festival in Rajasthan.

3. Gangasagar Mela

The Gangasagar Mela is organized every year where the Ganges River meets the sea. The venue for the Gangasagar Mela is Sagar Island near Kolkata.

4. Kumbh Mela

Kumbh Mela is a grand festival held once every twelve years in various places. The Kumbh Melas are held in Allahabad , Nashik , Ujjain and Haridwar. The Kumbh Mela is the largest fair in the world. It is considered to be the oldest fair in the world that is still ongoing. The Ardha Kumbh Mela is held every six years.

5. Hornbill Festival

The Hornbill Festival is a cultural festival celebrating the indigenous culture of northeastern Nagaland. It is celebrated in the month of December. The Hornbill Festival is held in Kisama village, 12 km from Kohima.

The Pushkar Mela is a famous fair held every year in Rajasthan. The Pushkar Mela is the largest cattle fair in the world.
