Direct Tax & Indirect Tax

Taxes are classified as direct taxes and indirect taxes. Direct taxes are taxes that are paid directly by the taxpayer. Examples of direct taxes include income tax, property tax, agricultural income tax, building tax, corporate tax, vehicle tax, and land tax. Indirect taxes are taxes that are paid, either partially or in full, by someone else. Examples of indirect taxes include GST, sales tax, excise tax, customs tax, entertainment tax, and service tax.
