Labour Welfare Fund Boards

In Kerala, the Labour Department is crucial to carrying out labour welfare initiatives and fostering an atmosphere that promotes harmony between employers and employees. Kerala has more than 30 Labour Welfare Boards. The Labour Department oversees sixteen of these Welfare Fund Boards. The remaining Boards works under different departments, including Industry and Agriculture.

The above table displays the number of registered members and the Welfare Boards under the Labour Department. As of August 31, 2025, 60,19,951 employees were enrolled with the 16 Labour Welfare Boards under the Labour Department. With 19,83,896 members as of August 31, 2025, the Kerala Building and other Construction Workers Welfare Board has the most active members among the 16 boards.
