The electronic industry in Kerala is consists of state-owned enterprises, electromechanical component manufacturers, and growing electronic manufacturing clusters. The PSUs working under Department of Industries and Commerce, Government of Kerala in the category of electronics are as follows.

■ Kerala State Electronic Development Corporation Ltd (KSEDC)

Keltron’s operations mark the pace of development in Kerala's electronics manufacturing sector. Established in 1973, it provided employment to over 5,000 people across numerous units within just five years. Even as technology has advanced significantly and major ventures like Technopark have become reality, Keltron continues its pursuit of innovative products.

■ Keltron Component Complex Ltd (KCCL)

Keltron Component Complex Ltd was established in 1974 for the manufacture of Aluminium Electrolytic Capacitors. KCCL commenced commercial production in 1978. KCCL is now the largest manufacturer of Aluminium Electrolytic Capacitors in the country. It also manufactures passive electronic components, including MPP capacitors, resistors, and crystals.

■ Keltron Electro Ceramics Ltd

Established in 1974, the company began manufacturing disc ceramic capacitors in 1978. Other products manufactured here include NTC thermistors, metal oxide varistors, piezo components, and ceramic buzzers. The company also manufactures custom-built transducers for the Indian Navy and the Cochin University of Science and Technology.
